The baby lies in bed sweetly.
再多舉一個例子 : My cat lies on my dad's desk.

但是lay就不一樣囉! lay 是及物動詞(active verb) 他通常要表達的是lay "something" on "a place"
My cat lays the baby on Dad's desk.
  受詞是 : the baby

   Practice:

   1. The dog has been ____________ on the back porch all afternoon.
        (a) laying  (b)lying  (c) laid
   2.  The old tugboat has ________ on its side since last winter's storm.
        (a) lain (b) laid  (c) lien
   3.  Choose the correct answer:
        (a) I feel dizzy and need to lay down
        (b) I feel dizzy and need to lie down
   4.  She ______ the dinner on the table before she left.
        (a) laid  (b) lied  (c) lay
   5.  Have you _____ the table yet?
        (a) lain  (b) laid  (c) lied
